Hey everyone, itā€™s Jason with Christ Peer-to-Peer.

Today, I want to share a deeply personal and reflective confession video titled ā€œMistakes Were Made.ā€ Itā€™s a story that many might relate to, but itā€™s also a tale of lessons learned, emotions experienced, and reflections on relationships and responsibilities.

In this video, I open up about a challenging and pivotal moment in my life. My wife got pregnant, and at the time, I thought the baby was mine. We talked about our dreams for parenthood, made plans, and set our ideals on how we wanted to raise our child. But once the baby arrived, things changed.

One of the hardest moments for me was when my wife, after trying to breastfeed our baby, decided to stop because it hurt. We knew breastfeeding had so many benefits for our child’s health and development, but she couldnā€™t handle the discomfort. This moment made me start questioning her intentions and loyalty. It was a painful realization, and it marked the beginning of many more doubts.

As time passed, my frustration grew. I felt angry and betrayed, not just because of that one incident, but because of the broader pattern of selfish decisions. Itā€™s taken me years to process these feelings and come to terms with them. I’ve come to understand that many of these behaviors are not just individual flaws but are also influenced by societal expectations and norms.

The Bible gives us wisdom in dealing with our emotions and relationships. In Ephesians 4:31-32, it says: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” This verse reminds me of the importance of forgiveness and compassion, even when it’s hard.

Reflecting on my experiences, I realize the significance of prioritizing our families and the vows we make. It’s not easy, and we all make mistakes, but recognizing them and striving to do better is what counts.

Thanks for watching, and may God bless you all.
