Hello Christ IT Services Clients,

As Jason, the owner of Christ IT Services, I want to share an important heads-up about online security that can affect everyone, especially our churches, seniors, and small businesses.

Heads Up: Big Company Data Breaches Affect Everyone – Here’s How to Protect Yourself

Even big companies like Nike are sometimes targeted by online criminals who try to steal customer information. This means your personal details, shared with any company online, could potentially fall into the wrong hands and be used to try and trick you with fake emails or phone calls.

Here’s what you can do right now to protect yourself: First, use strong, unique passwords for every online account you have – don’t reuse them! Second, turn on “two-factor authentication” (also known as 2FA) on any account that offers it; this adds an extra layer of security like a code sent to your phone. And finally, be extra cautious with any unexpected emails, texts, or calls asking for personal information, even if they look legitimate.

If you are unsure if your system is safe, or if you clicked something you shouldn’t have, give Christ IT a call immediately. We can help.

Sincerely,

Jason
Owner, Christ IT Services
