Here’s a helpful warning for our clients from Jason at Christ IT Services:

Don’t Let Trust Become a Trap: A Warning for Your Finances

Scammers are incredibly skilled at exploiting trust, sometimes even pretending to be well-known or respected figures in your community. They often spin urgent stories about needing funds to unlock a large inheritance, a big real estate deal, or another profitable opportunity, promising to pay you back handsomely.

If anyone, even someone you know or respect, asks you for money with an urgent story and a promise of big returns, hit the pause button. Always verify their story independently with truly trusted family members or a financial advisor before you even consider giving money. Remember, legitimate opportunities rarely demand upfront fees for promised windfalls, and scammers rely on pressure to make you act quickly.

If you are unsure if your system is safe, or if you clicked something you shouldn’t have, give Christ IT a call immediately. We can help.
