If anyone, even someone you know or respect, asks you for money with an urgent story and a promise of big returns, hit the pause button. Always verify their story independently with truly trusted family members or a financial advisor before you even consider giving money. Remember, legitimate opportunities rarely demand upfront fees for promised windfalls, and scammers rely on pressure to make you act quickly.
