Too Rich to Work? Too Rich to Eat.
“No Work, No Eat” applies to Trust Funds, too.
We love to weaponize 2 Thessalonians 3:10. We quote it to shame the homeless, cut welfare, and justify our own indifference. We use Paul’s words as a club to beat the poor into submission.
But we conveniently forget that verse when we look up.
If you live entirely off dividends, rent, and usury without lifting a finger, you aren’t a “provider.” You are idle. You are extracting value, not creating it.
It is time to point the sword of scripture in the other direction. If passive income is your only income, you aren’t working. And if you aren’t working, the Bible says you shouldn’t eat. It does not matter if you are idle on a street corner, or idle in a mansion.
Jesus is the defender of the poor, not the mascot for parasites.
