As Jason from Christ IT Services, I want to share an important warning to help keep our churches, seniors, and small businesses safe online.
Alert: Your Personal Information Is Easier for Scammers to Find
Many companies collect your personal details like your address, birth date, and even Social Security number. Recently, it was discovered that some of these companies made it difficult for you to remove your information, making it easier for scammers to find and use your data to trick you.
Here’s what you should do right now:
- Be extra careful about unexpected calls, emails, or texts that ask for personal details, even if they seem to know a lot about you.
- Always verify the sender or caller before clicking links, opening attachments, or sharing any sensitive information.
- Regularly check your bank and credit card statements for any unusual activity.
If you are unsure if your system is safe, or if you clicked something you shouldn’t have, give Christ IT a call immediately. We can help.
