Countess West, a member of the church, emphasized the importance of the program in helping families prepare for the holidays. “Everybody wants to be able to provide a good, big meal for their families to celebrate the holiday season,” she said. “And some people just feasibly can’t do that with their income. And so this gives them an opportunity to provide a good Thanksgiving meal for their families.”

One recipient, disabled veteran Benjamin Walker, shared how the giveaway has eased his financial strain. “I’m on a budget, and this helps me get through the day-to-day stuff,” he said. “As far as what’s in the bag, I can cook that up, and that way I know that I have a decent meal for the holidays.” His words highlight the tangible impact of the church’s outreach, offering both sustenance and hope during difficult times.
