Hytrol Industrial Park 5K/10K to Benefit Jonesboro Church Health Center

Hytrol invites community members to participate in the Hytrol Industrial Park 5K/10K Walk/Run, benefiting the Jonesboro Church Health Center (JCHC) this year. The event, set for November 16 at Hytrol Conveyor Company, located at 2020 Hytrol Street, marks a long-standing tradition of community engagement and support.

The event, which began in 1996 as a collaborative effort among various companies in the industrial park, has evolved over the years. Hannah Freeland, the event coordinator and Health Club Coordinator for Hytrol Conveyor Company, emphasized the importance of community involvement. “Hytrol is here because of the Jonesboro community, and this is one of the ways we give back to that community and give our employees a way to stay engaged with the community,” she noted.

All proceeds from the event, beyond the processing fees, are directed to the Jonesboro Church Health Center. Freeland expressed optimism about the fundraising goals, stating, “We believe we will be able to raise at least $2,000, but the more signups we have, the more we will be able to raise.”

The race is open to everyone, with a special “Spirit Runner” option available for those who wish to support the cause but cannot attend in person. This initiative highlights the commitment of Hytrol and other local industries to actively contribute to the community, reflecting the biblical principle of loving one’s neighbor (Matthew 25:35).

Registration costs are $25 per person for the 5K and $35 per person for the 10K, with prices increasing to $35 and $50, respectively, after November 7. Early registrants receive a shirt, and the first 150 participants present on race day are awarded a prize pack. This event exemplifies the spirit of giving and community support, aligning with the call to “do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).
