Georgetown County: Church Operations Director Charged in Child Safety Investigation

In a recent development, Michael Anthony Fields, the director of operations and missions at Pawleys Island Community Church, was arrested and charged with unlawfully placing a child at risk or causing harm to a child. Fields, who was also responsible for security at Pawleys Island Christian Academy (PICA), has been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center with a bond set at $25,000.
