Everyone is talking about Jesus, but nobody is doing anything. I look around and see a lot of strife and misery, which tells me it’s mostly just talk.

After a year of work, all I have to show for it are a few websites and some videos. Against the evil and suffering in this world, my efforts look like nothing. It looks like I’m bringing a pebble to a gunfight. But you know what?

I’m going to fight anyway.

Sauls whole army saw the Giant and froze because they did the math. David won because he was naive enough to believe that God plus a pebble was enough. He didn’t know he was supposed to lose, so he didn’t.

I’m spending all my resources. I’m emptying my pockets. It might not look like much to the world, but I’m betting everything that God measures success differently than we do.

Don’t worry about the size of the Giant. Just throw your stone.
