I’m an IT professional. I don’t have a degree on the wall. I don’t have a certification. What I have is a refusal to fail. When I show up to a job, I’m early. If I don’t know how to fix the problem, I learn it on the fly. If I need a new tool, I buy it. I tear things down or build them up, depending on what needs to be. I do whatever it takes to get the job done. That is what makes me a professional.

When I look at the Church, all I see are hobbyists.

Where are the Professional Christians?

I see plenty of Pastors, Bishops, and “Sunday Morning” believers. Where are the men and women who treat the Kingdom of God with the same intensity that a General treats an army?

• Why do other faiths have their own banks to support their people, but we rely on the world’s usurious systems?
• Why is there only one Christian radio station in town while filth plays on the other twenty channels? Why aren’t we buying the stations?
• Why aren’t Christian landlords cutting breaks for the hurting?
• Why aren’t Christian lawyers suing evil out of existence?

We have accepted a weak version of faith that is all talk and no execution.

It took me 20 years wrestling with God to get here. I didn’t get the “instant light” conversion; I had to fight for it. I came from nothing—homeless shelters and no education—to where I am now. I know what it takes to grind. I’m looking for the others who are ready to stop playing church and start being professionals.

We don’t need many Professional Christians to save the whole world.
