We talk a lot about the “Body of Christ.” Scripture tells us some are hands, some are feet, some are ears. But looking at the modern church, I see a very different anatomy.

I see God’s Mouth: The guy at the front of the room who thinks he can speak better than God, constantly reinterpreting God and His Word.

I see God’s Wallet: The folks in the front row who think writing a check excuses them from doing the actual work of the Kingdom.

And mostly? I see God’s Ass: The vast majority of Christians who just sit there. They are “dead” in the wrong way—alive to the world, but dead to action. They treat every day like a day of rest, ignoring the command to be fruitful.

The world is rolling its eyes at us. They see the hypocrisy. They see the laziness. If those parts make up the Body… then I’ll be God’s Middle Finger.
It’s time to stop sitting on your assets and start being the church.
