Former Pastor Sentenced to Prison After Embezzling $400K from All Nations Worship Assembly

A former pastor in Alabama has been sentenced to prison for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from his congregation’s church. United States District Judge Liles C. Burke imposed a five-year prison term on 42-year-old Adrian Derrell Davis.
Davis pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud and filing a false tax return related to the embezzlement. According to court records, Davis served as a marketing consultant for All Nations Worship Assembly (ANWA) and was granted a salary and parsonage for his work. However, he misused these funds for unauthorized personal expenses, including vehicles, entertainment, and settling his mother’s mortgage and credit card debts.
The sentencing reflects the gravity of Davis’s actions, which violated the trust placed in him. He admitted to using over $400,000 of ANWA funds for personal purposes without authorization, demonstrating a clear breach of his fiduciary responsibilities. A spokesperson noted that Davis’s misuse of funds, coupled with his false tax reporting, underscores the importance of accountability for those in positions of trust within the community.
