In a tragic incident that has gripped the community, Joel Isaias Leiniz, a 38-year-old youth pastor, faces charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Leiniz was involved in a crash on January 17 on South Military Trail near West Palm Beach. The investigation revealed that he was driving at 104 mph while impaired, resulting in a devastating accident that claimed the life of his 8-year-old daughter, Zoe Alaya Leiniz.
Leiniz, who serves as a youth pastor in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area, was arrested following the incident. The crash occurred around 9:55 p.m. after deputies responded to multiple 911 calls. Leiniz was driving a 2017 Audi Q7 with his three children inside when he lost control and collided with a concrete pole. All occupants were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment, but Zoe Alaya Leiniz was pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to injuries sustained in the accident.
