A Virginia pastor is facing multiple charges after allegations of sending explicit images to a teenager he met at a church service. The pastor, Kenny Baldwin, 47, of Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads, was arraigned on charges including unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent exposure, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The incident reportedly began when Baldwin met the 15-year-old boy at a church service in York, Pennsylvania, approximately 18 months ago. Baldwin, who was invited to give a sermon, exchanged phone numbers with the teen. According to court documents, Baldwin allegedly began sending explicit photos to the boy, who is now 17, multiple times a week for about a year, starting around November 2024. The teen reported receiving some of these images as recently as early June of this year, with some images preserved as evidence.
Pennsylvania State Police have indicated that there is reason to believe Baldwin may have shared explicit images with other juveniles, though this aspect of the investigation is ongoing, and no additional charges have been announced. FOX 5 D.C. reached out to Baldwin for comment but received no response. Similarly, no one from Crossroads Baptist Church was willing to speak on camera about the case.
In a written statement, Crossroads Baptist Church expressed gratitude for community prayers, stating, “Please keep our ministry in your prayers as we seek to faithfully follow God’s leading. Your prayers mean so much to us.”
Baldwin was released on bond following his arraignment and is scheduled to return to court next month. At this time, no plea has been entered. This case underscores the importance of accountability and justice, reflecting the biblical call to “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). As the investigation continues, it serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance and care in leadership roles, aligning with the biblical principle of loving one’s neighbor as oneself (Luke 12:48).
