Church Donates Truckload of Food to Cache Food Pantry
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints plans to donate a truck full of food to the Cache Community Food Pantry in Logan on Friday, April 24, at 12:30 p.m. The donation will include thousands of pounds of food for families in need in Cache Valley.
A JustServe-branded semi-truck will deliver the food, which is part of a larger initiative to provide aid across the United States. As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, the church aims to deliver 250 truckloads of food to communities in all 50 states.
This effort is part of America250’s ‘America Gives’ initiative, which collaborates with the church’s ‘JustServe’ platform, volunteers, local leaders, and community organizations. JustServe is a service platform sponsored by the church that connects volunteers with local service opportunities to strengthen communities.
The church utilizes its established infrastructure, volunteer network, and humanitarian food resources to build community awareness and bring the America250 commemoration into neighborhoods like Logan. The initiative seeks to turn a national event into local service.
The 250 deliveries are expected to provide millions of meals to families across the United States as part of the America Gives initiative. The church invites all Americans to participate in making 2026 a record-setting year for volunteer service.
Email notifications are sent once a day, only if there are new matching items. The church encourages individuals to engage in service and support their communities through practical acts of mercy and neighbor-love.
