Crown of Life Lutheran Church Hosts Quilt and Craft Sale to Support Community Needs

The Crown of Life Lutheran Church quilting group has been actively engaged in creating quilts throughout the year, with the group now preparing for an upcoming quilt and craft sale. The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 6, at the church located at 13131 W. Spanish Garden Drive.

The quilting ministry, which has been a part of the church for nearly two decades, continues to serve the community by producing handmade quilts. Member Val Vanness emphasized that the group’s work is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, focusing on providing help and comfort to those in need.

The sale offers an opportunity for the community to access handmade crafts while supporting a local ministry. The event reflects the church’s ongoing commitment to practical neighbor-love and service.

Through their quilting efforts, the group demonstrates a dedication to mercy work and outreach. Their creations are not only functional but also carry the message of care and compassion, embodying the spirit of service that the church upholds.

The sale also serves as a means to raise funds for the church’s various outreach programs. These programs include food support, disaster response, and housing assistance, all of which align with the church’s mission of serving the vulnerable and promoting justice.

The quilting group’s work exemplifies the biblical call to care for others, as seen in Micah 6:8, which emphasizes justice, mercy, and humble service. Their efforts reflect a commitment to these values through tangible acts of love and support.

By engaging in such activities, the Crown of Life Lutheran Church continues to fulfill its role as a community anchor, offering comfort and assistance to those in need. The upcoming sale is a testament to the group’s dedication and the church’s ongoing ministry of mercy.
