Israel Conducts Artillery Shelling and Air Strikes in Southern Lebanon
Israel launched attacks on southern Lebanon, according to reports from the National News Agency of Lebanon. Israeli aircraft targeted Mansuri in the Tyre district, while artillery fire was directed at areas surrounding Bint Jbeil, the Srebbine Valley, Zibkin, and Jarmaq in the Jezin district. The attacks also included strikes near Kfar Shuba.
In the Nabatiyah area, Israeli forces conducted two major explosions: one near Kfar Tebnit close to a school and another at Zawtar al-Sharqiya toward Nabatiyah al-Fawqi. Intense fire was also reported in the valleys and forest areas of Srebina.
Israeli military equipment, including a bulldozer accompanied by two tanks and several vehicles, approached the southern outskirts of Kfar Shuba. An Israeli drone dropped a grenade on the outskirts of Khiam, though no injuries or damage were reported.
The Lebanese government reported that since March 2, 4,389 people have been killed and 12,424 injured in Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Despite a United States-mediated agreement signed on June 26 between Beirut and Tel Aviv, which called for the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces and the deployment of the Lebanese army, the attacks continue.
The situation highlights the ongoing tensions in the region, with military operations and civilian casualties remaining a pressing concern. The calls for peace and accountability echo the biblical principle of seeking justice and mercy, as found in Micah 6:8, which emphasizes acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God.
