In Lincoln County, Kentucky, a youth pastor and funeral director has been charged with serious criminal offenses following a confession to state police. Jason Coulter, associated with Green River Pentecostal Church, faced charges on August 17, 2026, including third-degree sodomy, possession of material depicting a sexual performance by a minor, promoting such a performance, and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.

The charges stem from Coulter’s voluntary confession to Kentucky State Police on August 14, 2026. During the confession, he admitted to meeting a 17-year-old member of his youth group through the church and engaging in inappropriate communications via Snapchat. Coulter disclosed that he shared and received nude photographs and discussed sexual fantasies with the teenager through the app.

Coulter further confessed that he met the teenager in person on two separate occasions. The first meeting occurred in April at Veterans Park in Mercer County, where they engaged in sexual contact. The second encounter took place in May at a Lincoln County funeral home where Coulter is employed. After work, they traveled to McKinney, near the Dollar Store, for another instance of sexual contact.

Upon investigation, Coulter admitted to retaining some of the exchanged images and occasionally requesting them from the teenager. An interview with the victim on August 17, 2026, corroborated Coulter’s account, confirming the exchange of explicit photographs and the two in-person meetings in Mercer and Lincoln counties.

In light of these events, the community is reminded of the importance of accountability and justice, echoing the biblical call to “act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). As this case unfolds, it serves as a sobering reminder of the need for vigilance and care for the vulnerable, underscoring the Christian duty to uphold truth and justice while extending compassion to all affected.
