Dr. Hershel P. Wall Jr., MD, a revered figure in the medical community, passed away on December 16, 2022. Born on November 10, 1935, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Dr. Wall dedicated his life to education and service, embodying the spirit of Galatians 6:10, which calls for sowing blessings to reap a harvest of good deeds.

Dr. Wall’s personal life was equally fulfilling. He met his wife, Jean Parker Harrington, while on active duty in Tours, France, and they married in 1965. Together, they raised a family while Dr. Wall continued his professional journey, eventually becoming Chancellor of UTHSC. His leadership was recognized with accolades such as the “Administrator of the Year” and the “Exceptional Meritorious Achievement Award.”
