Louisiana Victim of Priest Abuse Advocates for Parental Consent in Confessions

Tim Gioe, a survivor of abuse by a Catholic priest, is advocating for reforms to protect children in religious settings. The Gioes, both nurse practitioners, are raising three sons and have decided to send them to local parochial schools due to the quality of education they offer compared to public schools in Louisiana. Tim Gioe, now 36, has chosen to share his story publicly for the first time to raise awareness and advocate for change.
