Nieves Ministries Highlights Founders’ Faith-Based Community Service and Security Programs
Alexander L. Nieves and Jeremiah Banks, co-founders of Nieves Ministries, have built a nonprofit organization in Denver, Colorado, focused on serving the community through faith-driven outreach and practical support. Their journey began in middle school, but it was during high school that their friendship deepened and a shared vision for service took shape. Together, they established Nieves Ministries to address urgent needs in their community through hands-on outreach, innovative programs, and trusted partnerships.
The ministry’s mission centers on providing dignity, safety, and hope to those in need. Both founders are actively involved in the day-to-day operations, participating in meal services, event organization, and security initiatives. Their Pinnacle Defense Safety and Security Program, fully licensed by the City and County of Denver, offers professional security solutions to local businesses and events. Both men hold current Denver security guard cards and MED badges, reflecting their commitment to meeting the state’s rigorous standards while maintaining a compassionate, community-focused approach.
Nieves Ministries operates a range of impactful programs aimed at building safer, more compassionate communities. These include efforts to feed the homeless, support individuals with disabilities, and strengthen neighborhoods through faith-led initiatives. The organization was recently honored with a city proclamation recognizing its contributions to these causes, a testament to its growing influence and dedication.
Alexander Nieves brings a strong educational background to his leadership. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Management with a focus in Digital Marketing from Colorado Technical University and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He is also completing an Associate Degree in Divinity through Christian Leaders Institute (College), ensuring the ministry’s foundation remains rooted in faith, integrity, and service. “Education matters because it equips us to serve better,” he says. “My goal is to use everything I’ve learned to help lead with vision, accountability, and compassion.”
Jeremiah Banks emphasizes the importance of community collaboration in the ministry’s success. “This proclamation isn’t about us—it’s about what’s possible when a community comes together,” he says. “We’re just grateful to serve.” Nieves Ministries continues to partner with businesses committed to giving back, including United Airlines, among others.
Through their combined efforts, Alexander and Jeremiah exemplify the call to love our neighbors as ourselves, as described in Matthew 25:35. Their work reflects a commitment to practical mercy and faith-based service, embodying the spirit of Galatians 6:10, which encourages doing good to all people and especially to those in the household of faith.
