Rwanda Governance Board Revokes Grace Room Ministries’ Operating License
The Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) has revoked the operating license of Grace Room Ministries, effective immediately. The faith-based organization, led by Pastor Julienne Kabanda, is no longer permitted to conduct religious activities within Rwanda.
RGB officials announced the decision at their headquarters, stating that the ministry failed to comply with regulations governing religious organizations. The board emphasized that all activities previously conducted by Grace Room Ministries must cease immediately.
The RGB cited persistent violations of legal requirements, including governance standards set for faith-based institutions. These standards are part of broader regulations that all religious organizations in Rwanda must adhere to.
RGB reiterated that similar regulatory actions will be taken against any institution found non-compliant. The board stressed the importance of following established guidelines to maintain order and accountability within the religious sector.
Grace Room Ministries is required to address all compliance issues before it can reapply for authorization to resume operations. The decision underscores the RGB’s commitment to enforcing legal standards across all sectors, including religious organizations.
