Seventh-day Adventist Church Expands Earthquake Relief Efforts Across Venezuela, Providing Food, Medical Supplies, and Spiritual Support to Survivors.

In the wake of devastating earthquakes in northern Venezuela, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has expanded its relief efforts across the affected regions. On July 11, 2026, in Playa Mare, La Guaira, volunteers and medical professionals from the church provided essential aid, including food packages, to those impacted by the disaster. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Adventist Church to offer emergency relief, healthcare, and spiritual support in some of the country’s hardest-hit areas.

The church’s response has been organized through local conferences, the East and West Venezuela Unions, and the Adventist National Service Corps. Hundreds of volunteers have been instrumental in distributing food, medical supplies, and hygiene kits. Their work extends beyond distribution, as they also assist in rescue operations and recovery efforts, particularly in Caracas, La Guaira, and surrounding communities.

In La Guaira, medical professionals from the church have been actively consulting with residents, providing much-needed healthcare services. According to Pastor Ney Devis, president of the Central Venezuela Conference, the volunteers have successfully distributed over 1,000 food packages and 500 personal hygiene kits to those in need.

These efforts reflect the church’s commitment to serving communities in crisis, aligning with the biblical call to love one’s neighbor and provide care for those in distress, as highlighted in Matthew 25:35 and Galatians 6:10.
