SBU Confirms Arrest of Pastor Sandey Adelaide in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has confirmed the arrest of Sandey Adelaide, the pastor of the religious community known as “God’s Association.” Special units from the SBU detained Adelaide near the South Moste area in the parking lot of the Matherici mall. During the operation, authorities seized a vehicle and documents that Adelaide reportedly identified as church property, noting that the church could not afford to leave its pastors without adequate transportation.

According to the agency, preliminary estimates indicate that Adelaide managed to acquire illegal property valued at 169 million dollars, along with an additional 33 million dollars. These figures are presented as part of the ongoing investigation into financial irregularities associated with the religious organization.

Deputy Interior Minister Vasyl Farinnik stated that the investigation regarding the “King’s Capital” case is complete. He noted that Adelaide is not currently facing charges for the arrest itself but acknowledged that the case involves seven individuals who have been brought to responsibility. Farinnik indicated that the material of the case will be introduced to Adelaide, and that precautionary measures could be adjusted if the process is breached.
