Frisby stated that the pantry is one of the few healthy food options available in the county. She observed that the recent opening of a new Aldi location in Monticello offers residents another avenue for healthy foods, which she said will complement the pantry’s existing provisions.
The distribution includes a variety of items, with Frisby noting that the current month featured a significant amount of cabbage and carrots alongside other fresh produce, dairy, meats, and staple goods. She described the recipients as local Jefferson County residents who require additional assistance.
