Former Huntsville Pastor Sentenced for Embezzling Over $400,000 from Church

Former pastor Adrian Derrell Davis has been sentenced to five years in prison for embezzling over $400,000 from his congregation’s church funds in Huntsville.

According to the plea agreement, Davis served as pastor at All Nations Worship Assembly from 2018 to 2020, using his position to embezzle approximately $434,339.

Specific instances of misuse included using $30,920 for an Audi A7 purchase in 2018 and $45,982 for a GMC Yukon in 2019, along with numerous payments to his personal American Express card.

These payments covered luxury goods like a Hublot watch and purchases from high-end stores, none of which were authorized by the church leadership.

Davis also failed to report the embezzled income on his tax returns, suggesting the funds came solely from speaking engagements.

U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona emphasized the betrayal of trust, stating the office is committed to holding accountable those who violate positions of public trust. Assistant Special Agent Kristen Yukness added that Davis used church funds to satisfy personal debts and file false returns. (Proverbs 31:8-9)
