The leadership of Assemblies of God Nigeria, Jimeta West Section, Yola District, in Adamawa State, honoured a former Nigeria Union of Journalists chairman, Mr. Andrawus Tarfa, with an Award of Excellence on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
The award was presented by the church’s leadership, led by the Assistant District Superintendent, Rev. Theman Timothy. The church presented the award to Tarfa as a way of congratulating him on his appointment as Birma and District Head of Garkida.
The church’s recognition of a community figure’s public role reflects a practice of honouring those who lead faithfully (Hebrews 13:7).
