Church of God of Prophecy Jamaica Hosts Women’s Empowerment Conference for 400 Attendees
Four hundred women gathered at Moon Palace All Inclusive Resort in St Ann, Jamaica, from September 26 to 28 for the Church of God of Prophecy Jamaica’s (COGOP) Daughters Unlocked (DU) Women’s Empowerment Conference. The three-day event aimed to inspire and equip women to live purposefully through resources and opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.
The conference featured a lineup of high-profile speakers, including Apostle Isi Igenegba, a Nigerian coach, consultant, and lead pastor at People of Influence Network. Other notable presenters included Dr. Terri-Karelle Johnson, Pastor Lecia Williams, and conference host Minister Nickeisha Smith, COGOP’s national women’s ministry director. Attendees engaged with topics ranging from economy, communication, service, and ministry, with a focus on empowering women in their professional and spiritual lives.
A key component of the conference was the “Women in Business – The Village” experience, which provided a platform for women leaders to showcase their businesses and products. The event’s theme, “Beyond the Beyond,” encouraged participants to explore their faith and deepen their understanding of God. Biblical principles were woven into discussions on identity, divine purpose, and faith, offering attendees guidance for personal and communal growth.
The conference also introduced a new initiative, Girls Unlocked, designed to provide mentorship and interaction for girls aged 13 to 17. This segment aimed to equip young women with tools and support to navigate challenges and pursue their God-given potential. The event emphasized the importance of community, purpose, and spiritual discernment in the lives of women and girls.
Through a combination of keynote messages, workshops, and networking opportunities, the conference sought to foster empowerment, leadership, and spiritual development. The Church of God of Prophecy Jamaica’s commitment to women’s ministry was evident in the event’s focus on equipping women to fulfill their roles in society and faith. The gathering reflected a broader effort to uplift and support women through holistic development and divine guidance.
