Eko Movers Donates Truck to Greater Vision Full Gospel Church After Theft of Outreach Trailer

A Northern Kentucky church has received a generous donation of a new 18-foot moving truck from EkoMovers in Monroe, following the theft of their community outreach trailer. This donation allows the Greater Vision Full Gospel Church in Ryland Heights to continue its vital community service work, including food distribution and outreach efforts.

In January, the church’s trailer, which housed essential equipment like snow cone machines, popcorn machines, canopy tents, grills, and even silverware, was stolen from the church parking lot. This theft temporarily halted the church’s ability to serve the community. However, the congregation quickly mobilized to raise funds for a new trailer, demonstrating resilience and commitment to their mission.

With the new box truck, the church can now enhance its food pantry services. Pastor Chad Sizemore explained that the truck will enable them to transport more food from distribution centers, significantly increasing their capacity to serve those in need. Previously, without the truck, the church could only serve a limited number of families. Now, with the truck’s help, they can extend their reach to hundreds of families, embodying the biblical call to love and serve one’s neighbor as seen in Matthew 25:35.

Katie Crawford, the church’s Outreach Director, expressed deep gratitude for the unexpected support, highlighting the impact of community and corporate generosity. This act of kindness not only restores the church’s ability to serve but also inspires hope and reinforces the importance of collective effort in addressing community needs. The church continues to raise funds to replenish the lost equipment, ensuring their outreach efforts remain robust and effective.
