Hotel Reservations Open Today for SBC Indy Annual Meeting

Hotel reservations are now open for the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) annual meeting, set for June 13-16, 2027, in Indianapolis. Attendees can secure lodging through SBCAnnualMeeting.net, with 22 hotels under contract offering 3,715 rooms as of noon Eastern time today. Room rates range from $149 to $289, and additional hotels are expected to be added as contracts are finalized.

Several hotel options are located directly adjacent to the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) or connected by a skywalk, providing convenient access for attendees. The ICC’s downtown location is praised for its walkability to local restaurants and a nearby shopping mall, enhancing the experience for those in attendance.

Messengers at the meeting will receive reports from various entity heads and vote on SBC officers. A key debate will focus on whether to approve the Truth and Unity Amendment to the SBC Constitution. SBC President Willy Rice, who is eligible for a second term, will lead the proceedings.

The meeting will coincide with a weekend homestand by the Indianapolis Indians, a Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, on June 11-13. This timing offers attendees the opportunity to engage with both the convention and local sports events.

The SBC annual meeting serves as a pivotal gathering for the denomination, where leadership decisions and policy discussions shape the direction of Southern Baptist churches and ministries. The event underscores the SBC’s commitment to fostering unity and guiding its members through shared doctrinal and organizational priorities.
