Light of the Valley Lutheran Church Launches New Youth Program “Follow the Light!”

At Light of the Valley Lutheran Church, enthusiasm is building for the upcoming “Follow the Light!” youth program. This initiative, designed for youth aged 10 and older, offers a monthly gathering focused on team-based games, skill development, confidence-building activities, and faith discussions. The program emphasizes fun and community, inviting all local youth to explore faith, friendship, and a shared vision for the future.

The next event, themed “Hallelujah Night,” is scheduled for October 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants can enjoy activities such as badminton, cornhole, and half-court basketball, with a pumpkin painting contest and a variety of treats. The event aims to foster joy and camaraderie among young people in the community.

Light of the Valley Lutheran Church is located at 28330 Lilac Rd. in Valley Center. The church offers a welcoming environment for all who visit. Sunday worship services begin at 9 a.m., followed by Bible Study sessions that include coffee, treats, and fellowship. Men’s Bible Study meetings take place on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m., while women’s Bible Study groups meet at 9:30 a.m. The church also provides a weekly GriefShare support group for those navigating grief and loss.

As November approaches, the church prepares to celebrate Thanksgiving, reflecting on the blessings God provides each day. This season invites members to pause, express gratitude, and acknowledge God’s goodness in their lives. The church encourages all to participate in this time of reflection and thanksgiving.

In December, the congregation looks forward to the Advent season, marked by weekly services held every Wednesday. Each service begins with a soup luncheon at noon, followed by worship and preparation for the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. The Advent season serves as a time of spiritual renewal and anticipation.

Light of the Valley Lutheran Church warmly invites newcomers, those seeking a church home, and anyone curious about its mission and community. The church emphasizes that all are welcome as they are, offering a supportive and friendly environment for individuals and families. The congregation is eager to meet and connect with those who wish to join them in worship and fellowship.
