Southern Baptist Seminary Hosts Greek and Hebrew for Life Conference for Pastors
SBTS Faculty & Guest Speakers welcome you to join us for this year’s conference Southern Seminary | Friday and Saturday, July 25-26
Teaching God’s Word is paramount among a pastor’s priorities. However, the demands of ministry are numerous and varied, making it easy for pastors to slip in their comprehension and utilization of the biblical languages.
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is hosting the Greek and Hebrew for Life Conference, an event aimed at supporting pastors in their study of biblical languages. The conference, scheduled for July 25-26, will feature Dr. Rob Plummer and Dr. Adam Howell, along with other professors, who will provide guidance for pastors seeking to strengthen their Greek and Hebrew language skills.
The conference is part of the SBTS Alumni & Friends Academy, which offers educational opportunities for seminary graduates and friends of the institution. It reflects the seminary’s commitment to equipping leaders in the church with the tools necessary for effective ministry.
Participants will engage with faculty and guest speakers who emphasize the importance of linguistic proficiency in understanding and communicating Scripture. The event underscores the Southern Baptist Convention’s focus on theological education and the development of pastoral leadership.
Through this conference, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary continues to support the spiritual and academic growth of its alumni and the broader church community. The initiative aligns with the seminary’s mission to prepare men and women for gospel ministry through rigorous theological training.
The Greek and Hebrew for Life Conference serves as a reminder of the value of linguistic study in ministry. It encourages pastors to prioritize the study of biblical languages as a means of deeper engagement with Scripture, reflecting a commitment to faithful teaching and preaching.
