New Life Christian Church in Watertown hosted its 9th annual Christmas Giveaway, providing free gifts to over 60 families during the holiday season. The event featured donations of new and gently used items from church members, distributed to those in need.

Pastor Joseph Gilchrist emphasized the church’s commitment to supporting the community, noting the congregation’s weekly gatherings of more than 550 people. He described the giveaway as an opportunity to give back and make a meaningful impact during the holidays.

The church aims to ensure that every participant can take home items to celebrate Christmas. The event reflects the congregation’s dedication to serving others and fostering a spirit of generosity within the community.

Those who received gifts were selected through an application process, allowing the church to reach families in need. The event has become a long-standing tradition, having taken place for nearly a decade.

The Christmas Giveaway underscores the church’s role in addressing local needs through practical outreach. By pooling resources and efforts, the congregation demonstrates a commitment to neighborly love and community support.

The initiative aligns with the principle of caring for the vulnerable, as described in Proverbs 31:8-9. Through such efforts, the church continues to embody the values of mercy and service.
