A youth pastor from South Florida, Joel Isaias Leiniz, faces DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges after a tragic incident on January 17, where he was allegedly driving under the influence at 104 mph, resulting in a fatal crash that claimed the life of his 8-year-old daughter, Zoe Alaya Leiniz. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that Leiniz was driving a 2017 Audi Q7 with his three children inside when he lost control and crashed into a concrete pole. All four occupants were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center. Tragically, 8-year-old Zoe Alaya Leiniz succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:46 p.m.
In court, Judge Donald Hafele set Leiniz’s bond at $150,000, while the prosecutor had requested a bond of $200,000.
