First off, the Bible makes it clear that God doesn’t live in buildings made by humans. 🏛️ Acts 17:24-25 tells us that God doesn’t need our buildings or things made by human hands. God lives in each and every one of us. ❤️ So, before you dive headfirst into finding a church, I encourage you to find God in your own life first. Spend some time every day praying and reading the Bible on your own. 📖🙏 Take God with you to church, because if you’re searching for God there, you might be disappointed.

Church can be great for fellowship and worship, but it’s also filled with human rules and doctrines. 📜 You might find long sermons and people who seem more interested in their own importance than in helping others. 🤔 Jesus taught us in John 4:23-24 that true worshipers will worship God in spirit and truth. God is spirit, and we should worship Him that way. ✨

Remember, helping others in the name of Jesus is the true sacrifice God wants. 🙌 Instead of just going to church, be the church. Serve others, feed the hungry, and help the thirsty. 🥖💧 These actions speak louder than any sermon.

I didn’t find God in a church. I found Him in the scriptures. 📜 I read the Bible to argue with Christians, and ended up finding God. Start with the New Testament or a gospel. Even an audio Bible or a contemporary English version can make it easier. 🎧 There’s no excuse not to read the scriptures for yourself.

If you’re searching for a church, ask yourself what you’re really looking for. 🤔 We’ve had churches for 2,000 years, collected lots of money and property, but what have we achieved with it? How much has the world improved? If you’re doing well in life, you might not be searching. But if you are, start with the scriptures. Find God, then take Him to church. You might make something amazing happen. 🌟
