Cross and Crown Lutheran Church in Roscoe invites the community to a free meal on Friday, September 18th, at 12:00 noon. The church, located at 7404 Elevator Road, will serve Sloppy Joes, Jello salad, potato chips, and desserts. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy good food and friendly conversation, followed by Bingo at 12:45 p.m.
In addition to the meal, the church’s outdoor food pantry is open to all, offering nonperishable items. This pantry, located in the southwest corner of the parking lot, is stocked to support those in need.
On Saturday, September 20th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the church hosts a boutique event featuring wellness goods, handcrafted items, and calming sensory experiences. This gathering aims to provide a space for community members to explore and enjoy a variety of offerings.
In a separate event, the Hononegah Football team secured a 17-14 victory over Rockford Guilford High School. The game, held at Kelsey Field, was marked by a focus on redemption and teamwork, reflecting the values of perseverance and community support. This spirit of unity and effort aligns with the biblical call to love and serve one another, as seen in Matthew 25:35, which emphasizes feeding the hungry and caring for those in need.
