Jehovah’s Witnesses in Belarus have successfully completed the reregistration process as a religious organization, according to an announcement made on July 5, 2025. The government of Belarus officially recognized the group for the second time, following a new law enacted in 2024 that required all religious organizations to reregister under updated regulations.

The reregistration marks a significant milestone for the group, which had been legally recognized in Belarus since 1994. The process allowed Jehovah’s Witnesses to continue their religious activities, including holding meetings at Kingdom Halls or rented facilities, conducting assemblies, and importing religious literature. The group emphasized that legal recognition is essential for the exercise of freedom of worship.

Pavel Yadlouski, a spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Belarus, expressed gratitude for the successful reregistration. He noted that the process provided an opportunity to engage with government officials and clarify the group’s role in the community. Yadlouski highlighted the group’s long-standing presence in Belarus since 1924, describing them as peaceful and law-abiding citizens who contribute positively to society.

Throughout the reregistration process, Jehovah’s Witnesses in Belarus emphasized their commitment to peaceful engagement and community service. They referenced the apostle Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 2:1, 2, urging believers to pray for all people, including those in positions of authority, to ensure a life of peace and godly devotion.

As a global religious organization, Jehovah’s Witnesses expressed gratitude for the favorable conditions in Belarus, which they believe allow them to continue their mission of spreading their message. They cited 2 Timothy 4:2, stating that they remain dedicated to bringing honor and praise to God through their activities in the region.
