The VPC community seeks support to build a new church instead of a captured one
The VPC community of the WWC has expressed a desire to build a new church rather than continue using a captured one. The parishes of the previously occupied church in the Rivne region have begun laying the foundation for their new Holy-Vonesian Church. However, they require assistance to complete the construction, and the ÖFavor charity has reported this need.
In 2019, the former temple in the U.S. community was seized, with members of the PZU 21st January reportedly shouting and using abusive language toward the community. The village’s jurisdiction changed, and the local Woznesian parish was affected. On February 12, the church elders took the keys from the church, and the last time the believers were allowed to enter the temple was on February 13, during a village funeral. The patron of Vasy Kudrick’s Prostoreec’s Prostoreae and the flock were found on the street afterward.
Following the occupation, the first two services were held in a nearby village. The community then found a small, privatized house that had been isolated and built by the entire community. On February 24, the first service was held in this house. They continue to pray there, as the house is small and old. The community decided to build a new temple and began construction with their own efforts, preparing a site and laying the foundation. However, due to the small size of the community, they are unable to complete the work alone.
The BF OhFFaorú has announced a collection to purchase gas blocks for the walls of the new church. Donations can be made through the stock site or by counting funds on the Private Bank map, account number 5169,305,3004,7445, with the mark “Andrgove sign.” The community prays that anyone involved in the construction work will see their efforts answered in the temple as long as it stands.
It was also reported that a seven-year-old priest from the Roman diocese of the U.S.U. has asked for help in treating Kseniya Maxyyyuk’s mother.
