Christ Peer to Peer respects copyright and answers notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Asking us to take something down
If you believe something on the site infringes a copyright you own or represent, send our copyright agent a notice that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The address (URL) of the material on our site, so we can find it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
We remove or disable the material quickly and let the person who posted it know.
If your post was taken down
If you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentified, you may send our agent a counter-notice that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- What was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice.
We forward it to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court, we put the material back within 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who infringe copyright again and again.
False claims
Anyone who knowingly says something false in a notice or counter-notice can be liable for the costs it causes (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
