Pastor Adilson Yauri faces neighbor complaints alleging abuse and financial demands
Mothers and neighbors in the district of Ventanilla gathered outside the Pentecostal church in the human settlement October 12, second stage, on October 12 to voice concerns about Pastor Adilson Yauri. The group demanded justice, calling for the closure of the church and the arrest of the religious leader.
Protesters expressed fears that the church posed a danger to children and adolescents in the area. One neighbor testified that the location was associated with nighttime parties involving alcohol consumption and dancing. She also claimed that some women would undress on the roof of the building.
According to the allegations, several children aged 14 and 15 were reportedly abused and threatened by the pastor. A neighbor stated that Yauri had more than five complaints against him, some of which date back to 2011. She noted that some victims had contributed to the construction of the church.
A former parishioner recounted that financial contributions were requested beyond the standard tithe. She explained that additional amounts were collected from members, with men being specifically targeted for contributions. Another woman reported that church members had donated 100 bags of cement for the construction. She also mentioned that she withdrew from the congregation after the pastor asked members to help pay a bank loan.
