The Rev. John F. Morman died on June 26, 2012. He was born September 15, 1922, the son of the late John and Ethel Morman.

He graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia, Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary. He was married to Marie Bittner Morman for 66 years.

The couple served six pastorates in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Antigua. Morman was also Headmaster at Linden Hall School.

He was an avid artist and an enthusiastic historian of the Moravian Church. Recording a church’s history is one way of passing its faith to the next generation (Psalm 78:4).

He is survived by his wife, Marie; a daughter, Ruth Ellen Shelley; a son-in-law, Mike Shelley; and two grandchildren, Ryan Shelley and Kate Shelley.

A service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Lititz Moravian Church in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Board of World Missions of the Moravian Church, 1021 Center St., PO Box 1245, Bethlehem, PA 18016-1245, for the Antiguan churches of Cana and Gracehill, and/or to the Lititz Moravian Archives and Museum, 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA 17543.
