Community of Christ delegates expected to choose first female prophet-president
Delegates to the Community of Christ were expected to choose the church’s first female prophet-president, according to a report in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The religious body, formally known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is headquartered in Independence, Missouri.
Stassi D. Cramm was identified as the prophet-president designate, and the newspaper ran courtesy photographs of her alongside images of the church’s temple and world headquarters in Independence. The photographs are undated.
Cramm was ordained Sunday, June 1, 2025, as the ninth prophet-president of the church. Leaders who have carried that office before her are part of a line of succession that the church continues to honor (Hebrews 13:7).
