Communicators across the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are invited to register for the 2026 Society of Adventist Communicators (SAC) Convention, set for Oct. 15-17 in Orlando, Florida. The annual gathering will be held at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary, and its program is being developed in partnership with AdventHealth.

The early-bird registration rate of $379 ends Sunday, Aug. 16. Full-price online registration remains open until Oct. 14, but the hotel discount runs only until Sept. 21.

The convention will bring together communication professionals, students and educators for keynote presentations, workshops, networking, worship and other opportunities for professional and personal growth. SAC programming serves communicators in public relations, marketing, journalism, social media, video, podcasting, photography, design and other creative fields, and it offers a chance to build relationships with communicators throughout the Adventist Church and beyond.

The keynote and featured speakers include Jason Dorsey, president of The Center for Generational Kinetics, who will deliver a keynote on bridging generational divides. Eric Gray, co-founder and CEO of Maverick Content Studio, will lead an extended general session workshop titled “Telling Your Brand Story.” Jeff Williamson, communications director for Orange County Government, will lead a general session on crisis communications.

The convention will also offer spiritual programming designed for communicators. Friday and Saturday worship experiences will combine music and messages with interactive exercises that apply communication skills to familiar Bible stories, from telling stories entirely through emojis to working through biblical scenarios as modern-day crisis communicators. Organizers describe the sessions as a space for spiritual reflection, fellowship and fun. Faithful, honest work in one’s calling is a theme worth noting here (Colossians 3:23).

Last year, more than 225 professionals, students, educators and church leaders gathered at La Sierra University in Riverside, California, for the annual convention. For 2026, SAC is expanding access to its media tours, which will be open to all registered attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. The convention will also include opportunities to connect with exhibitors and employers and an annual SAC communication banquet and awards program. Adventist college and university students can register at a discounted rate.

Kimberly Luste Maran, North American Division communication director and SAC executive director, said that for the past couple of decades she has seen many young adults gain employment opportunities through connections made at the convention. “We spend a lot of time finding top-notch presentations to grow our communicators, but we love being able to provide a space for those connections,” she said.

SAC president JeNean Lendor emphasized the personal connections at the heart of the gathering in a recent video invitation. “I want you to be there at SAC 2026 in Orlando,” Lendor said. “Register now. Register early. I want to see you there.”

Early-bird registration is $379 through Aug. 16. Convention information, the program and registration are available at AdventistCommunicator.com/register.
