First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Issue 15 Invitations from October 2026 General Conference
President Dallin H. Oaks, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, extended an invitation during the October 2026 general conference for all to study and apply the principles taught during the conference. The four sessions of messages and testimonies centered on Jesus Christ and God’s plan of happiness for His children. President Oaks emphasized the importance of prayerfully pondering the conference talks and acting in faith on the principles they explain. He referenced 2 Nephi 28:30, stating, “The Lord has promised, ‘Unto him that receiveth I will give more.’”
Members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles issued 15 invitations during the conference. President Oaks called upon all to act on the truths of the Book of Mormon, which he described as a means to “know the covenants of the Lord” and to “convince all that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.” He urged individuals to share these truths with others to draw closer to Jesus Christ.
President Henry B. Eyring, first counselor in the First Presidency, encouraged members to invite the Holy Ghost to help them find ways to assist the Lord in comforting those who are pleading for it. He affirmed that the Lord will comfort all who follow Him and offered the blessing of trust to help fulfill His promise to succor Heavenly Father’s children in their trials.
The conference messages emphasized the importance of living life on a higher plane, as President Oaks urged members to contribute to the well-being of others. He highlighted that each individual is accountable to God for how they live their life, with a key part of a well-lived life being service to others.
The invitations from the conference leaders reflect a continued focus on spiritual growth, service, and the teachings of Jesus Christ. The messages were designed to inspire members to deepen their faith and apply the principles taught during the conference in their daily lives.
The October 2026 general conference served as a platform for leaders to share messages of hope, guidance, and encouragement. The invitations extended by the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles underscore the church’s commitment to spreading the gospel and supporting its members in their spiritual journey.
The conference’s emphasis on Jesus Christ and God’s plan of happiness aligns with the church’s teachings on the importance of faith, repentance, and service. The messages encourage members to seek the Lord’s guidance and to act in accordance with His will, reflecting the biblical principle found in Micah 6:8, which calls for doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God.
