Martha Frances Michie, a long-time member of Concord Road Church of Christ, passed away in Brentwood, Tennessee, on November 6, 2023.

Martha Frances Michie, a devoted member of the Churches of Christ, passed away on November 6, 2023, at her home in Brentwood, Tennessee. She was born on April 17, 1928, and lived a life marked by service, family, and faith. Mrs. Michie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Michie, who passed away in 2010, as well as her parents, Fanny Sory Bramlitt and Samuel Decatur Bramlitt, and her brother-in-law, James O. Michie. She is survived by her daughters, Myra (Mike) Wall and Betty (John) Castleman, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Eleanor (James) Michie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Michie was actively involved in her church community at Concord Road Church of Christ, where she served as secretary for many years. Her commitment to her faith and her congregation was evident in her dedication to church service and her role as a grandmother who instilled values of love, learning, and joy in her grandchildren. She was known for teaching her family and friends to appreciate reading, nature, and the simple joys of life.

In her later years, Mrs. Michie received care from the Sixth Floor Staff at Williamson Medical Center and her caregivers at Alive Hospice. Her family expressed gratitude for the compassionate support provided during her final weeks. Additionally, they thanked the Franklin First United Methodist Church Meals on Wheels volunteers for the meals they prepared and delivered to her, highlighting the importance of community support in times of need.

The family has chosen to honor Mrs. Michie’s legacy through charitable donations to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, the Meals on Wheels program at Franklin First United Methodist Church, or any other charity of the donor’s choice. This decision reflects her lifelong commitment to service and care for others.
