The Senate committee on women, children, family relations, and gender equality is set to resume its investigation into allegations of human trafficking and sexual abuse within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) on October 23. Quiboloy faces multiple charges, including violations of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, as well as human trafficking charges. In the United States, he is also charged with conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, sex trafficking of children, and bulk cash smuggling. The case of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, serves as a precedent for the committee’s determination to hold Quiboloy accountable.
