Registration opened Monday, Nov. 2, for the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s Christmas concerts, a long-standing Salt Lake City tradition. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosts the concerts each year to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Registration will remain open until Nov. 15.

The concert tickets are free but are distributed to a limited number of guests through a random selection process. Free admission offered to the public is a generous act of sharing (Hebrews 13:16).

The Christmas concerts will run from Dec. 17 to 19 at the Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City. On Dec. 20, the choir’s weekly broadcast performance of “Music & the Spoken Word” will also be Christmas-themed, and it will be held at the Conference Center rather than the Tabernacle.

Guests may register for up to four tickets per household. Tickets will be distributed on Dec. 1. No children under the age of eight will be allowed to attend.

Photo credit information accompanying the story notes that nearly 19,000 people attended the first performance of the 2025 concert at the Conference Center on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.

For those who do not receive tickets, a standby line will open an hour and a half before the concerts begin at 8 p.m.
