The morning started with a simple breakfast, but quickly turned into a theological debate. Moses, a fellow believer, insists that the Christian ministry should primarily focus on #Encouragement. But what does that mean? Is it just about feeling good, or should we strive for something more? 🤔 While encouragement is vital, the Bible also calls us to action. The book of James warns us that friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4).
Let’s turn our eyes to scripture. Yes, 1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to “encourage one another and build each other up,” but scripture is filled with stories of action! Jesus didn’t just encourage; He healed 🙏, taught 📜, and confronted injustice. His mission was about transformation, not just comfort (see Matthew 9:35 for examples of Jesus’ ministry).
Encouragement is indeed crucial, but what are we encouraging people to do? Are we pushing them to merely coexist in this world 🌍, or are we urging them to change it for Christ’s sake? There’s a growing trend towards what I call #DollarTreeChristianity – where the message is diluted to the point of being the least demanding. But is this what Jesus intended? He challenged the status quo, not conformed to it.
I’m on a mission from God to Nashville, Tennessee, specifically Brentwood and Franklin, to confront these issues head-on. 🚶♂️ Where are the Christians with resources and influence? Why aren’t they leading the charge in real, tangible change? It’s time for us to disrupt the comfort zones and stir the waters of complacency.
To all the Bible-believing, action-oriented Christians out there – we can change the world together! 🙌 It’s not about resources; it’s about resolve. Let’s rebuild, reshape, and reclaim our faith from the shadows of passivity. Let’s make our churches places of action, not just encouragement. #TrueChristianService #JesusTransformed
Our faith isn’t about sitting comfortably; it’s about standing up for what Christ taught us to do. Let’s not just encourage; let’s empower and act. Join me in this journey, and let’s see how we can make a difference, not just with our words, but with our deeds. Together, we can shift from #EncourageAndDo to #MinistryOfAction. 💪
