Carolyn (Garriott) Williams, who was born on April 4, 1949, in Binger, Oklahoma, passed away on September 19, 2017, at the age of 68. Her life was marked by a career in bookkeeping, notably at Fowler Toyota and Fowler Honda, where she dedicated 12 years of service before relocating to California. Upon her return to Norman, she became affectionately known as the “Donut Whisperer” at the Donut King on 12th and Alameda, leaving a lasting impression with her kind spirit and generous heart.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Juanola Garriott; her three sons, Kenneth Sinor and wife Sarah, Chris Sinor and wife April, and John Garbett; six grandchildren: Jason Sinor, Sheri Sinor, Olivia Garbett, Amelia Garbett, Christopher Sinor, and Scarlett Sinor; four great-grandchildren: Isaiah Sinor, Aydin Prince, Braxton Prince, and Jax Sinor; and one brother, Curtis Garriott, and his wife, Mattie. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Garriott, and her brother, David Garriott.
In the spirit of Matthew 25:35, which speaks to feeding the hungry and caring for those in need, Carolyn’s life exemplified practical expressions of love and kindness to her community. Her legacy is one of warmth and generosity, qualities that resonated deeply with those who knew her.
The family invites friends and family to join in a come and go visitation to honor Carolyn’s memory. While the family will not be present, they welcome the opportunity for loved ones to share memories and celebrate her life. As we reflect on Carolyn’s impact, we are reminded of the importance of neighbor-love and community support, as highlighted in Galatians 6:10, which encourages doing good to all, especially to those of the same household of faith.
