Christ Anglican Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Hosts Worship Night for People From Different Backgrounds
Christ Anglican Church Winnipeg (CACW) hosted a Worship Culture night at the Dakota Community Centre on a Sunday evening. The source reports a full house.
The evening featured CACW’s in-house worship team, along with other local worship groups and artists. The night was held to bring people from different backgrounds together in praising God, a shared act of worship that reflects the value of unity (John 17:21).
Reverend Oluwaseyi Dairo of CACW said, “We’re building a culture of worship. It is worship for all nations, people of all races, people of all tongues.”
Church leaders said worship on earth can provide a glimpse of what heaven will look like. Dairo said, “We’re trying to replicate what is going to happen in heaven. We’re visitors here on earth and our destination is heaven and so we’re practicing what we’re going to be doing for eternity.”
Worship minister Stephen Adegbite said, “We want to worship the king of kings because that is where glory reveals. In His [God’s] Kingship lies His glory.” He went on to address how holiness and glorifying God are connected, saying, “When the holiness of God is lived, what men will see is His glory.”
Dairo said this was the first edition of Worship Culture and that it will be an annual event. Speaking about the parish outside of worship events, he described Christ Anglican Church Winnipeg as “a community of believers. People who trust in God, people who fellowship together.” He added, “We don’t trust in our righteousness we trust in the righteousness of Jesus Christ and when we hold hands God is glorified.”
